6-Month-Old Girl Dies in Henry County

Henry County, VA - Tragedy in Henry County as investigators are looking into the death of a 6-month-old girl. Deputies say they were called to Mountain Valley Road in Axton at 4:06 p.m. Thursday about an unresponsive infant. When they got there, they found the child wasn't breathing.
A family member performed C-P-R before emergency crews arrived. The baby was taken to Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County where she was pronounced dead.
An autopsy will be performed tomorrow as the investigation is continues.
Anyone having information regarding the death of this child is asked to contact the Henry County Sheriff's Office at (276) 638-8751 or the Crimestoppers Program at 63-CRIME (632-7463).
