Wes Rosenbalm resigns as BVU CEO

// News // DC // VA

BRISTOL, Va. -

The board of directors of Bristol Virginia Utilities met in a special called meeting Wednesday morning.

The meeting started at 7:00 a.m. and was finished in about an hour.

We learned BVU President and CEO Wes Rosnebalm submitted his resignation Tuesday and the board accepted it Wednesday morning.

Three board members voted not to accept the resignation, but no reason has been released for his leaving.

Rosenbalm had been away from his post with the utility company in recent weeks.

A board member told us Rosenbalm had requested time off.

He had been with BVU since 2000.

We're told the utility's chief financial officer Stacey Pomrenke and chief operating officer Michael Bundy will be in charge until a replacement is named.

News 5 WCYB's Angela Yingling is working to gather more facts about the story and we will have them throughout the morning.
