St. Peter's Episcopal Church Choir will present a performance of the oratorio Elijah for the benefit of So Others Might Eat (SOME) on Sunday, March 21, 2004, at 7:00 pm. In dramatic choruses and soaring solo arias, this oratorio by Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy tells the story of the prophet Elijah. The mission of So Others Might Eat is to help the poor and destitute of Washington, DC -- particularly the homeless and elderly. At this benefit concert, monetary donations of all sizes will be accepted for SOME; donations of non-perishable food items will be accepted for the SOME food program.
